Mumbai Metro Line 3, commonly called the Aqua Line, is the city's major north-south underground corridor. Its alignment links Cuffe Parade and the central business districts with Worli, Dharavi, Bandra Kurla Complex, the airport area, MIDC, SEEPZ and Aarey.
Route in simple terms
From south to north, the corridor begins around Cuffe Parade and passes through stations serving Nariman Point-side offices, Fort, CSMT, Kalbadevi, Girgaon, Mumbai Central and Mahalaxmi.
It then continues through the Worli-Dadar belt, crosses toward Dharavi and BKC, and runs through the airport employment corridor before reaching MIDC, SEEPZ and Aarey.

Useful interchanges
Marol Naka connects with Metro Line 1. BKC is planned as an interchange area with Line 2B, while the airport corridor links passengers to terminals and other planned metro connections.
The corridor also improves access to major suburban and long-distance rail hubs around CSMT, Churchgate and Mumbai Central, although walking routes and exits may determine the most practical transfer.
How to plan a trip
Check three things before leaving: whether the full section you need is operational, which station exit is closest to your destination and the final train time. Underground stations can have exits on opposite sides of wide roads, so choosing the right one can save significant walking time.
Airport travellers should confirm the terminal. Mumbai's domestic and international facilities are served by different station areas, and an incorrect exit can add a road transfer.
