Ashish Bercha, Founder of MatchUpWorld
Hi, I'm Ashish. I'm 25, I'm from Indore, and I started MatchUpWorld.
How this started
It began on YouTube, honestly almost by accident — I wanted to make videos about cricket and football that actually explained things properly instead of just reacting to them. A few channels later, I kept running into the same problem: some of what I wanted to say didn't fit in a video. A rule, a format, a number — stuff you need to read at your own pace, not have narrated at you. That's basically why the site exists.
What I'm trying to do here
Keep it simple, mostly. Cover cricket, sport, film, news — write it so someone can actually finish reading it and understand the thing they came to understand. I'd rather post less and get it right than rush something out and have to quietly fix it later. If we do get something wrong, it gets corrected on the page, not deleted and pretended away.
A bit more about the approach
I'm still figuring a lot of this out as I go — that's the honest version. But the one thing I'm not flexible on is checking things before they go up: a rule explained the way it actually works, a number that traces back to something real. As more people end up writing for the site, that's the bar I want everyone held to. The fuller version of this is on the editorial policy page.
