    What MatchUpWorld is

    MatchUpWorld is an independent Indian media outlet covering cricket, sport, film and current affairs. We started on YouTube with three channels and have since expanded into written coverage on this site.

    The written half exists because some stories need more than a video can give them: a rule that needs unpacking, a tournament format that trips people up every season, a film worth more than a quick verdict. That is the work we do here.

    Our channels

    What we cover

    The site runs six sections — Cricket, Sports, Bollywood, News, Politics and Regional. Cricket and Sports carry analysis, player profiles and explainers. Bollywood covers film and entertainment. News, Politics and Regional carry current affairs, written plainly.

    Our standards

    We do not publish anything we have not verified. We do not invent quotes, rewrite rumours as fact, or use numbers we cannot trace to a source. Where a piece carries opinion, it is labelled as opinion and kept separate from reporting.

    When we get something wrong, we correct it on the page itself and note what changed and when. We do not quietly edit errors away. Our full approach is set out in our editorial policy.

    Independence and funding

    MatchUpWorld is independently owned and operated. The site is supported by advertising and by revenue from our YouTube channels. Advertisers have no involvement in, or advance sight of, our editorial coverage. Where a piece involves any commercial relationship, we disclose it in the piece itself.
