Where this started
MatchUpWorld began as three YouTube channels — Cricket Matchup, Sports Matchup and Bollywood Matchup. Between them they cover match analysis, football, and film and entertainment news. The channels are still the heart of what we do, and you will find them linked throughout this site.
This website is the written half of that work. Video is excellent for reaction and highlights, but some stories need room to breathe: a rule that needs explaining properly, a tournament format that confuses everyone every year, a film worth more than a two-minute verdict. That is what the articles here are for.
What you will find here
The site is organised into six sections. Cricket and Sports carry match analysis, player profiles and explainers. Bollywood covers films, trailers and the entertainment industry. News, Politics and Regional carry current affairs — written plainly, with the context that short-form coverage usually leaves out.
Every article is written to be useful a month after publication, not just on the day it goes up. Where a piece is time-sensitive, the publication date is shown clearly at the top so you always know how fresh it is.
How we work
Three rules govern everything published here. First, we do not publish anything we have not verified — no rewritten rumours, no invented quotes, no numbers we cannot trace to a source. Second, when we get something wrong we correct it on the page itself and say what changed. Third, opinion is labelled as opinion; reporting is kept separate from it.
If a story here matters to you and you think we have missed something, tell us. The contact page goes to a real inbox and we read everything that comes through it.
Getting the most out of the site
Each section page collects everything published in that category, newest first. The search box in the header searches across every article on the site. And if you prefer video, each section links straight to the matching YouTube channel.
