Sabalenka rematch adds extra intrigue

The final revives a familiar rivalry. Sabalenka and Rybakina have repeatedly produced matches built around power, first-strike tennis and narrow margins on serve. The tactical question is likely to be which player can create more pressure on second serves without giving away too many return errors.

Rybakina is also chasing ranking consequences beyond the trophy. Her recent run has strengthened her position near the top of the women's game after an injury-disrupted period.
